Puppy Training and Classes

Puppy socialization is vital for their development. Dogs should be socialized from early on so that they have more awareness of their surroundings. Dogs that are socialized from an early age are better adjusted to adult life when they are around different people and dogs and when in new surroundings. The key puppy socialization window is between 3 - 12 weeks of age.

At K9 Commando, our puppy classes stand out from the typical format you might encounter elsewhere. We prioritise individualised attention and a structured learning environment. During our puppy classes, teams are intentionally spread out to allow for focused training on essential obedience skills.

Unlike a free-for-all play session, our classes are designed to provide a balance between obedience training and appropriate socialization. While we understand the importance of puppies engaging in play and meeting their peers, our primary focus is on instilling basic obedience skills in a controlled setting.

Throughout the class, we devote time to working with each individual team. We recognize that every puppy has their own strengths, weaknesses, and specific areas for improvement. Therefore, we tailor our instruction to address the unique needs of each team, whether it's reinforcing basic commands or addressing specific challenges they may be facing.

We also provide one to one puppy support in addition to our puppy classes.
