Kylie brings over 10 years of expertise in animal training, combined with a solid academic foundation in conservation biology and anthrozoology. Growing up with her mother, a renowned animal trainer, Kylie was immersed in the world of animal care and training from a young age, often on vibrant production sets. This early exposure sparked her passion for animals and conservation.

Kylie began her career as an animal trainer in the motion picture industry, where she worked with various exotic and domestic animal species, building on her upbringing and expanding her hands-on experience. She collaborated with top trainers across the U.S. and Europe in motion picture animal training, dog training, protection training, and detection training. Over the years, Kylie has trained a wide variety of animal species, including aggressive, reactive, working, and companion dogs.

Academically, Kylie holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Conservation Biology from the University of Plymouth and a Master of Arts in Anthrozoology from the University of Exeter. She has over 8 years of fieldwork experience in both aquatic and terrestrial environments, bridging her academic knowledge with practical expertise.

Dan Eichberg-Levitt

Dan proudly served in one of the finest branches of His Majesty’s armed forces, the Royal Marine Commandos, completing what is recognised as the hardest military training in NATO for over 6 years. During training, Dan was pushed to breaking point and beyond, working in constantly developing, rapidly changing, hostile conditions. Throughout training, and to this day, he continues to demonstrate the Commando spirit: He is courageous, determined, unselfish, and cheerful in the face of adversity.

In the field of dog training, Dan has collaborated with some of the leading trainers in the United States, refining his skills, particularly with aggressive, reactive, and working dogs. His extensive experience in detection training, alongside top professionals, has allowed him to master this specialized field. Dan’s in-depth knowledge of behavioral challenges and training techniques equips him to handle a diverse range of behavioral issues, ensuring success in both training and real-world applications.

Dan holds an SIA Door Supervisor license and a NASDU (National Association of Security Dog Users) General Purpose Level 2 lifetime certificate. He also holds a NASDU General Purpose Level 2 team certificate with his dog, Moose.

Moose is a 5 year old Belgian malinois (BRN 52115) who stands proudly as the face of K9 Commando.

Moose has successfully completed the NASDU General Purpose Level 2 course. This notable accomplishment has solidified his position as a top-tier working dog, demonstrating his proficiency in various tasks and scenarios, including obedience and apprehension.

Beyond his outstanding work in protection, Moose also shines as a conservation detection dog, harnessing his extraordinary olfactory abilities to locate and identify various odors.

While Moose's accomplishments in the professional sphere are undeniably impressive, he holds an even more cherished role in our lives.

Sparrow

Sparrow is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois with a heartwarming story of resilience. Rescued from the streets of Spain, she has overcome a challenging start in life to become a vital part of our team.

Before joining K9 Commando, Sparrow had been in a few previous homes, but things didn’t quite work out. When she finally found her way to us, we knew instantly that she was the perfect addition to both our team and our family.

Now, Sparrow is both a bed bug detection dog and a conservation detection dog.
